These products - cleansers, moisturizers and toners, contain essential oil. There are even products for mature skin, with anti wrinkle oils like rosehip and rose.
You should know that aromatherapy skin care product are not limited to just your skin.
You can also find lotions, shower products, bath products, household products, laundry products and baby products too. Some of the ingredients that you should look for whenever you are trying to help your well-being include: lavender, chamomile, cedar wood, eucalyptus, basil, thyme, rosemary, teas, rosehips, lemon seed, sunflower seed and ylang ylang. Lavender and chamomile are the most common scents used. Citrus is also used a lot to energize or invigorate you.
More than Skin Care
Aromatherapy skin care products are not only used for your skin. These products have actually been around throughout the world many years. For instance, cancer patients use aromatherapy to deal with their depression, anxiety and to induce relaxation, calming, rest and sleep. They have also been effectively used in pain management.
Another place that these aromatherapy oils are used are in many bath products, shower products, laundry products, baby products, candles, air fresheners, air diffusers, oil burners, scented drawer sheets, perfumes, massage oils, lotions and so much more. This may actually surprise you when you discover that a lot of the products that you are already using actually contain aromatherapy oils in them.
Of course, aromatherapy skin care products are also found in a lot of gift baskets. These actually make a very popular gift idea for those that you care about. There are also aromatherapy pillows or face packs that can be used whenever you travel in order to relieve tired eyes or to simply help with a more relaxed sleep.
Allergies When Choosing An Aromatherapy Skin Care Product
If you have allergies, then you should pay attention to the ingredients that are in your aromatherapy skin care product. Watch out for oils which may cause a reaction. If you’re not sure, ask the retailer for advice before you buy.

Aromatherapy Kits for many needs
October 20th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedWith aromatherapy kits, users can enjoy a wide range of essential oils extracted from nature for physical well-being, perfume, cosmetic skin care, and psychological purposes.
Many aromatherapy kits contain essential oils made from some surprisingly common fruits and other plants from which the essential oils are extracted. Essential oils are available as absolutes and infusions.
Aromatherapy kits include anywhere from one to many different oils.
They’re usually aimed towards one special effect, so you may get healing salves and massage oils in the same kit.
For example, travel aromatherapy kits will contain oils like lavender, ginger (for travel sickness), basil (for jet lag) and chamomile (for relaxation.)
A memory enhancer kit designed for students taking exams could contain oils like lavender, rosemary, basil, grapefruit and cypress.
Some sellers of aromatherapy kits will create customized kits, just for you. This is the ideal solution if you have special needs - perhaps you’re dealing with arthritis pain, or are suffering from insomnia.
If you’re buying aromatherapy kits as Christmas gifts, you can find specialized gifts for everyone in your family, and for work colleagues too.

Essential oils for skin care - eliminate lines and wrinkles

Essential oils are used by many companies for their skin care products, because they work so well in hydrating the skin and making it look and feel soft and smooth.
For example, one of my favorite skin care companies, Aesop, makes extensive use of essential oils in their luxurious skin care products.
Their Aesop Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream contains Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, and Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender).
In Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm the essential oils used include Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood) Bark Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, and Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil.
I love both products, not only because they work so well, but also because the oils give you a real emotional lift. That’s the ultimate benefit of essential oils - they work on your mind as well as on your body.
If you don’t want to buy commercial skin products containing essential oils, there’s nothing to stop you making your own products, using the essential oils which are used by commercial producers.
